Deploy Your First Application
Use QuikDB Compute to deploy an application from a GitHub repository.
1. Connect GitHub
Open compute.quikdb.com and choose Connect GitHub & deploy. Approve access only to the repositories you want QuikDB to read.
2. Choose the source
Select the repository, branch and service directory. For a monorepo, confirm the directory that contains the application and its build files.
3. Review the configuration
Check the detected runtime, build command, start command and port. QuikDB uses an existing
quikdb.json, Dockerfile or supported detected project configuration. Detection is a starting
point, so correct anything that does not match the repository.
Add required values in the deployment Environment settings. Do not commit production secrets or paste them into support chat.
4. Deploy and watch the logs
Start the deployment and open its detail page. Build logs explain dependency or compilation
failures. Runtime logs show startup and application errors. Your application must listen on the
PORT value supplied by QuikDB.
Common states are pending, building, deploying, queued, live, failed,
stopped and sleeping. A queued deployment waits for qualifying capacity; a failed deployment
needs a source, configuration, build or health-check correction.
5. Add the services you need
After the application is live, you can:
- request supported-user custom-domain onboarding and managed HTTPS;
- create a managed PostgreSQL database; and
- review safe AI-assistant and Agent Access boundaries.
